Thomasville Chapter NSDAR 2016 Events

The Thomasville Chapter NSDAR held their October meeting "On The Road" at the Thomas County Museum of History! The October program featured the Museum's Executive Director, Ann McCudden.

The Thomasville Chapter NSDAR honored Veterans at the November meeting. Mac Kemp with Honor Flight Tallahassee was the guest speaker.

Mayor Greg Hobbs presented Vice Regent Deb Phillips (left) and Regent Melody Porter (right) of the Thomasville Chapter NSDAR with a proclamation declaring March 29, 2016 as Vietnam War Commemoration Day in Thomasville.

Find Your Patriot Ancestor Event

The Find Your Patriot Ancestor event was held in February 2016 in cooperation with the Thomas County Public Library. Ten people participated in the event. Some of the attendants had also taken the Thomas County Public Library class on Family Tree Maker by Perida Mitchell, Librarian. 

Thomasville Chapter NSDAR members who assisted with the event included Melody Porter, Alice Quinif, Florence Harrell, Wilma Kelley and Lois Hand along with a special friend to DAR, Doris Davies.
